Marionberries

Actually a type of blackberry (and no, not named after the former mayor of Washington D.C.), these dark purple wonders were first produced in Oregon and named for the county of Marion where they were extensively tested.  The berry’s complex, powerful flavor has earned it the moniker “Cabernet of Blackberries”.
